Lahaina, Hawaii: Only a Good Place if You Are Wealthy 2 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) One would think that living anywhere in Hawaii would be great; however, I can personally attest that living in Lahaina, Hawaii is not everything you would think it would be. The huge problem here is housing. There is not enough housing to meet the needs of people and the housing ...Read More that does exist are extremely expensive.

The crime rate in this area is actually pretty high. I myself have not been the victim of crime, but you often hear of someone being arrested daily. Also, getting a job here is not the easiest thing to do. Requirements for jobs in the area are strict.

The best areas in Lahaina, Hawaii are the beaches. This does afford someone the luxury of having downtime in a beautiful place. If the housing issues could be fixed and the cost of living here was more affordable, this place could easily become a better place to live; however, with the current state of things, I just would not invite anyone to live here unless they are wealthy.
