Ladson, A Comfortable Town Between Charleston And Goose Creek 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Ladson is just outside of Charleston, and when I was a kid, it was a small town that had fairly affordable living for the area. What was once a few restaurants, convenience stores, and overflow for the sweetgrass basket shops has become a much more accessible part of the modern Charleston culture. There's a nice Japanese steakhouse, a great Chinese and Filipino cuisine place (separate cultures, but they handle both flavors well!), and amazing tacos.

Charleston isn't the only pull for the Ladson area. Living in Ladson, SC gives you access to Goose Creek, another Charleston-area small town that houses quite a few technology businesses. Goose Creek has both civilian tech firms and military tech contractors including Google, SPAWAR, ManTech, and General Dynamics.

The best areas in Ladson, SC are near North Charleston as you get to the Cooper and Ashley Rivers. Beautiful waters, and the Francis Marion National Forest isn't too far away. Read Less
