A lot of Mean People User Rating 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 18, 2020) La Quinta has a lot of mean people who will cut in front of you. There were like two women, one with long black hair and one with black hair in a ponytail who were being extremely rude and prejudice towards people at a Walmart there. The traffic is always bad . Living here is ext ...Read More remely dangerous with rude people around. Read Less
Big Little Gem User Rating 4.5 rating By PSREservices.com ( May 18, 2018) I've lived here now for 15 years. It is not SF, L.A., or SD. Life here is relaxing. The mountain vistas are all around to enjoy with just enough yayaness. Yes, there many semi retired and retirees here; however, there are plenty of 25-45 somethings here as well. The schools in N. ...Read More LQ are in hot demand. Many families come here from the coast to live in order to escape the traffic there as well as be able to put their kids into quality schools. Each neighborhood has its own feel. There are both gated and non-gated communities as well. Take your pick along with price range to buy or rent. There are plenty of restaurants that are not fast food serving up live entertainment. From French, to Mexican, to Thai, LQ has it. If you're after nightlife, head to PS. It's 20 minutes up the freeway. The winter and spring activities are non stop. In the summer when everyone at the coast thinks we are boiling (at times we do boil here), it's the night activities we like. Rents are still reasonable, and buying house can be achieved. Enjoy! The weather has been known to get hot in the summer, but mostly we benefit from Southern California weather conditions, which is fantastic. I have never had to travel far to do my shopping. The city is always growing, and new stores are springing up all the time. Even so, I find that the best areas in La Quinta, Ca, to shop are Old Town La Quinta, which has a cozy atmosphere.

The whole time I have been living in La Quinta, CA, I have never gone golfing. However, my husband is an avid golfer. Luckily for him, we have some amazing golf courses located in the best areas in La Quinta, CA. I consider myself a fortunate resident of La Quinta, CA. Read Less
