Kettering - Close to Everything 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I liked living in Kettering because it's a small, quiet community that's walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and areas for recreational activities. There is a small church and shopping center in the community. It's a relatively safe area with lots of families. The school ...Read More s are decent but not among the best in Prince George's County.

Living in Kettering is very convenient for all your shopping needs. Many shopping centers are either within walking distance or a 5 minute drive away. Six Flags Amusement Park is nearby, as well a huge multi-purpose park called Watkins Regional. A megachurch named Evangel is nearby as well.

The best areas in Kettering are near Route 202, also known as Largo Road. Many nice homes and neighborhoods are in the community, and the cost of living is affordable for most people. There are some government offices close to the community, such as a division of the Motor Vehicle Administration. Commuting to surrounding areas like Washington, D.C. and Virginia for work or nightlife is a breeze from Interstate 495 or the Blue Line metro station. Read Less
