elaxing place to settle down but don't want to be too far from a big city, Kerrville is an excellent choice.
If you don't mind the hot summers, there is quite a bit to do here in the summers. Parades and festivals are common, and there are farmers markets too if you enjoy fresh produce. There is also Schreiner University which is a good choice for local students. Downtown is the best area in Kerrville. Most of the stores in Kerrville are downtown which makes shopping fast and easy. You can also visit Louise Hays Park if you're looking for a nice spot to relax.
