Kenosha, WI: Enjoy Lake Michigan in Your Backyard! In Kenosha, you get the true "Midwestern" experience. I remember visiting a friend's home on Lake Michigan, having an outdoor barbecue, and doing some water-skiing on Lake Michigan. What a fun time it was. The thing about Midwesterners too, is that they are the friendliest people you will ever meet in your lifetime. Having been well traveled, and visiting California and New York, I can truly say that no community compares to the friendliness of Midwesterners. My friends in Wisconsin don't care about being the most "sophisticated" people every (even though they own the coolest gadgets!), instead, they care about making people feel comfortable in their homes. This is true of every resident in the city of Kenosha, I would presume.

Since the city of Kenosha is on Lake Michigan's coast, you can bet there are some great seafood restaurants. I loved the trout I had at the Boat House Pub & Eatery. Yum!

Overall, Kenosha gets great ratings in my books. If you want the Midwestern experience, head over to Kenosha! Read Less
