Military community / lower middle class area 0.5 rating By eaglespiritbw ( Oct 04, 2015) This is not a progressive area by any stretch of the imagination. The schools are horrible the worst in Harford county and one of the worst in Maryland. If you are not affiliated with the military community you are viewed somewhat with suspicious eyes. Somewhat of a clicky n ...Read More eighborhood. You can be greeted at any time of the day with loud repetitive booms that at times can rock your house. As you are right up against the Aberdeen Proving Grounds & Edgewood Arsenal military bases. Who knows what they are testing there at any given time. It is all secret. Some areas of the ground are radioactive from past times. IN addition, you are greeted each day with 2 massive military blimps in the eastern sky (J Star blimps). Some are suspicious of this also containing privacy stealing monitoring equipment. Lawsuits have been filed and the Baltimore Sun has written about it. Of course the military denies everything. The crime is very very bad! Due to the heavy military population much of it can be transient due to its nature. There is no nightlife, no quality restaurants, etc. There is however the long bright spot of an outstanding Amish Market that is open thurs thru saturday. I cant wait to move out of this God forsaken area and I would most to avoid this area like the plague. Read Less
