Small-Town Living Close to the City 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Jenison, Michigan is a quaint small town that is one of Grand Rapids' southwest suburbs. It has an excellent public school system with a low student to teacher ratio, making it the envy of Grand Rapids Public Schools. Jenison boasts itself as a safe community by having a very low ...Read More crime rate and a fair and competent police force. The housing market is Jenison is great with home prices being lower than what you'd find in Grand Rapids and property taxes being quite reasonable.

Shopping, dining and nightlife in Jenison is average. But this is never a problem for the residents because more diverse shopping and dining and even nightlife options are just a quick drive away to Grand Rapids or Grandville. It is close to a few malls and major shopping centers, which makes Jenison a wonderful place to live being that it is so close to so many city amenities.

Overall, Jenison is an excellent place to raise a family and great for anyone really who is just looking to settle down in a safer community while not compromising on the luxuries that the city has to offer. Read Less
