Janesville, WI - For Nature Lovers 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 19, 2011) A year ago, in June of 2010, my boyfriend and I took a trip across Michigan, down to Indiana and up Illinois, until we finally reached our destination of Janesville, Wisconsin. We spent 4 days and 3 nights at the most adorable bed and breakfast we had ever been to - Guardian Ange ...Read More l Bed and Breakfast. It was very nicely decorated and comfortable as well. We were close to the Rock River, which was a plus and a factor in the decision making process of where to stay.

Being nature lovers, we spent a day at the Rotary Botanical Gardens, which included several different themed gardens. What a sight it was! Very affordable as well. The next day we visited Riverside Park, which is located along the shore of the Rock River. There were many activities to do, such as golf, tennis, swimming, and nature trails. After the sun went down, the energy of city stayed alive. There were many bars and local hangouts throughout the city. We chose to go to the popular Deano's Westside Pub. It was fun and seemed to be a regular hangout for the natives of the city. Everyone knew everyone, and even included us in their fun and conversation. Our trip was relaxing and we never once felt lost or out of place. The city, along with its residents, are very welcoming. Read Less
