...Read More pared to the national average. The cost of living is especially good when compared to cities in Colorado or Washington. It's only two percent higher than the state average. Jacksonville has twelve public schools, two private schools, and one secondary school. The education in Jacksonville is not well-rated. However, almost twenty percent of their graduating class goes on to further their education. The crime rate is higher than the Arkansas average, but there are many safe neighborhoods to choose from.

Let's get into the fun stuff. Jacksonville Arkansas has many great places to eat, but my personal favorite is Hangar 1080. They have one of the best beer selections in the city. Plus, there are lots of games to take my mind off my workweek. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, with amazing comfort food to offer as well.

Shopping in Jacksonville leaves something to be desired. There are a few cool places to buy good ingredients, like the Oriental Market. If you're less of a shopper, you'll like it here. There are over four parks to choose from. Paradise Park is my go-to place for walking and taking in some nature at Paradise Lake.

Jacksonville Arkansas has something to offer if you're more of an outdoors lover. If you're a shopper, I would steer clear. However, it offers simple pleasures and the necessities for easy-going personalities. Read Less
