My Time In Islip Was Eventful User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) I've spent the majority of the early 2000's living in Islip, New York and I gotta say that I can't remember one week that I didn't visit the Fire Island Ferries. If you go past Southside Hospital, you've gone too far. The restaurant Captain Bills on Ocean Avenue is a must if you' ...Read More re ever in the area as well. The Southward Ho Country Club is a great place to spend your summers!

Whenever I'm in the area, I stop by the local Dunkin' Donuts before checking out the South Shore Nature Center. That is one of my favorite places to be with a fresh cup of coffee and the breeze blowing from the inlet. Some of my best times were with friends as we all joined each other for a night out in Bay Shore.

A relatively safe place to live, there is no worry when you go out to experience what Islip has to offer. Some of the best areas are along Ocean Ave and don't forget to check out the Ferry, fun times indeed! Read Less
