Inkster is a suburb right outside of Detroit that I was glad to leave. The town itself and the surrounding area has very little in the way of good opportunities when it comes to work, school and recreation. The home prices here are dirt cheap because there is so little incentive ...Read More

Like most of Detroit, crime in Inkster is pretty high and there aren't many areas in Inkster that I would feel safe in. Forget it if you have kids; the schools can hardly afford to keep the lights on. There aren't any decent stores or restaurants here either, so you'll probably have to go to a neighboring town to find what you need.
There are a few public parks in Inkster that are alright. Lower Rouge Parkway is one of them and it's probably the best area in Inkster. This may sound harsh about the city but there are virtually no benefits to living here.
