ng communities are sometimes blurred and a bit confusing, even to longtime residents.
Living in Hyattsville has created a lot of fun and interesting experiences for me. I particularly enjoyed the proximity of many different shopping and dining options. The Mall at Prince George's houses major department stores and there's a movie theatre and WMATA train station right across the street. The Arts District on Route 1 and the neighborhoods near the University of Maryland are some of the best areas in Hyattsville, with a lower rate of crime.
The Arts district is a relatively new development of cool and appealing shops, restaurants, and entertainment. This area is surrounded by a range of reasonably priced housing options, from newer townhomes to older homes built in different styles. For those with school-aged children, Hyattsville schools are not among the best in the state.
