College Student and Graduate's Nightmare User Rating 1 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 02, 2020) There really isn't anything to do in Huntsville unless you're constantly outdoors at the National Park, enrolled at SHSU, or work for TDCJ. And outside of those three things, there's nothing. No real nightlife, no real food that makes the town special, even the mall is half-TDCJ ...Read More and slowly dying. I've lived here for about five years, and it's never gotten more interesting than going to Eastham-Thomason park to walk along the creek for half an hour before going home.

I’ve found the school system to be one of the best we’ve encountered in our travels. The ratio of students to teachers, one teacher to about 14 students, keeps classes relatively small and personalized for students. My children love that, and so do I.

Summers can be warm in Huntsville but not terribly so, and they are more than made up for by the mild winters. I love the fact that there is hardly a day that the weather keeps me inside and prevents me from enjoying the outdoors. Huntsville has a small town feel with plenty to do and has turned out to be the perfect place for me and my family. Read Less
