I love visiting all the great parks around here including Caumsett State Park, Target Rock National Wildlife Refuge, and Cold Spring Harbor State Park. Several of them have nicely maintained hiking trails and places to sit near the water.

It's a great place for kids. The schools here are top notch. There are lots of community activities all the time to get involved with here, too. It's a good place to raise a family.

My personal favorite go-to place for a little nightlife is Vauxhall. The food is great, it's spacious, and it's open late. The cocktails are great and there's lots of beers on tap. When I want to hear mellow live music, I go to The Wine Cellar On Main.

My favorite place for shopping here is Walt Whitman Mall. It's kind of an oasis. It's pretty upscale and clean. There are some nice restaurants there too. Read Less
