The Beauty of North, Houston 5 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 05, 2012) I've lived in North Houston for five years now, and I love every moment of it. Residing in the Woodlands has given me an opportunity to not only experience a different region of the country, ...Read More but to also experience a different way of life and the state of mind that accompanies it.

The peace of mind that I have gained upon relocating stems from the comfort that my wife and I share while living here. The crime rate that typically permeates big cities does not exist here. As the fourth largest city in the United States, the city of Houston is an excellent place to live and raise a family. Being raised in Los Angeles had me predisposed to writing off the possibility of my enjoying the city of Houston. My fears were dispelled immediately upon my arrival. Beautiful communities and excellent schools are abound. Southern hospitality, which is legendary, has been proven to be no myth. My wife loves it, and our children are happy, smiling constantly. Our love of water has in no way been compromised. Theme parks and amusement parks are nearby. The boat tours provide the perfect family outing, and our visitors are no less entralled. Taking a short ride to the Boardwalk or the Lake are two more reasons we look forward to our weekends.

All in all there more reasons to love the city of Houston than I can even list. We are steadily finding one new experience after another. Public transportation is convenient and the variety of shopping locations is more than I could possibly ask for. It never ceases to amaze me that moving to the Woodlands in Houston, TX has turned out so well. I encourage anyone seeking a change of scenary without having to compromise the necessities to visit North Houston. Like me, you will not want to leave. Read Less
