Holbrook, NY: Expensive Long Island Living 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Holbrook is a nice, albeit expensive, city on Long Island. It's a good choice if you work in the city and are looking to have a second home or a family condo. It's on the ocean side of Long Island and just a few minutes drive to get to the beaches. In the summer, it can get prett ...Read More y busy around here and there is always something to do, such as beach parties, festivals and other events when the weather is nice.

Working out here isn't too bad, and there are a lot of part-time seasonal jobs if you're just looking for some extra side money. There are some decent restaurants to choose from including some sports bars if you want to catch a game with your friends. If you're thinking of living here long-term, it can be fun but just keep in mind it might get pretty quiet and uneventful in the winter. Other than that, I enjoy living in Holbrook. Read Less
