Hickory Tree 5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 26, 2018) Hickory,North Carolina. I love history. So when I learned about this towns history i was inspired. It all was started by a guy named Henry Robinson. He built a tavern under a huge hickory tree. The original name for this town was "Hickory Tavern".

When I visited this town I l ...Read More oved the layout of the area. Hickory has the small town courthouse square with the surrounding town. I loved the at home feeling it gave out. the locals where very friendly and kind. someone even payed for my lunch out of the blue. The people of this town are great.

Now they major sport in this town is baseball. If you don't enjoy this sport, well it might be a little loud if the rangers go somewhere in their season. They are also big fans of Nascar. Its all very exciting all fun. great for families and kids. You could even bring your grandma with you and she would enjoy the ride.

This town is a great town.it all started with a hickory tree. Read Less
