Herndon, Virginia: Close to it All 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) As a resident of Herndon, Virginia, I can attest that living here is the best thing to choose if you wish to relocate to be closer to Washington, D.C., but still want to live in a great community. Located in Fairfax County, Herndon provides its citizens with everything that it ne ...Read More eds. From a wonderful public education system to a parks and recreation department that provides endless opportunities for people like myself, this place has it all.

Located just 22 miles from the United States capital, Herndon provides the closeness that you may need to commute to work. I drive daily to Washington, D.C. with ease. I am also minutes away from a major airport.

With D.C. so close, you will always have plenty to do should you choose to relocate to Herndon. Shopping opportunities are bountiful within a short driving distance. If you are a person who would rather eat out then cook, then you’ll be more then content with the restaurant choices here. Come check out my town and the best areas of Herndon, Virginia. Read Less
