Fastest growing and improving Town in New Jersey 4.5 rating By Peter Talbot ( Dec 07, 2016) Harrison with extensive new development is on the PATH system, surrounded by the Passaic River, walking distance from Downtown Newark, convenient to buses, airport, NJ Transit. Crime rate is very low, population most diverse in all of New Jersey. A top living community for youn ...Read More g professionals and grad students at NJIT, Rutgers Newark and NYC downtown colleges. It is the unthinkable in New Jersey: great food, secure living, huge cost savings over New York, Hoboken and the Jersey City waterfront but just as convenient. For a renter it's the best spot in New Jersey. Schools are much better than ratings because district handles large ESL middle school population. Portuguese, South American, Eastern European and Asian local population well served by stores, restaurants. If you aren't looking at Harrison as a new arrival to the NYC metro as an alternative to Brooklyn and Queens you aren't looking hard enough. High demand only going to get higher despite huge new unit investment. Home of Red Bulls Stadium and much more. Go Blue Tide! Read Less
