Don't move here User Rating 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 20, 2019) I moved from Baton Rouge because I wanted to be closer to Southeastern University, as I am a current student. At first, the town seemed quaint and charming, but that has worn off after living here for two years. First, there is nothing to do here; for a college town, you would th ...Read More ink more businesses would be keen to open up shop to attract a younger crowd. However, no one wants to be out here. Secondly, there are no parks that feel safe enough to run around nor enjoy the scenery... I guess I was spoiled with the LSU lakes. Lastly are the people, they drive immensely slow and never use a turning signal when they drive. Overall there aren't any hidden gems in this dank little town that could make up for how horrible this place. There is NOTHING to do here besides go to the local Wal-Mart. BYYYYYEEEEEE! The city fully gets behind the athletics program,as they should.The city has plenty of restaurant/Bars around the city that will appease several different palates. Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Seafood, Steak houses, high end Sandwich shops...the list goes on. The Farmers Market has grown into an event you do not want to miss. It is every Saturday from 8:00 am to 12 NoonPainting with a twist, Hot August nights, BBQ festival ...all of which I am not doing justice in mentioning as I did not go into detail. Read Less
