      The town of Halton Hills in the north-western end of the Greater Toronto Area is known for its friendly communities, safety and high quality of life. The town is made up of an amalgamation of numerous smaller rural and urban communities. Of these, Georgetown and Acton are the population centres and are popular with families due to the kid-friendly environment they provide.       Although located very close to the bustling metropolises of Toronto, Burlington, Oakville and Mississauga, Halton Hills has a very relaxed and almost rural vibe. However, despite it’s secluded and peaceful atmosphere, it’s easy to get around both within the city and to the GTA and even downtown. Transit buses and rail services are available within Halton Hills and the Toronto Suburban Railway also runs services in the area.

      What new residents find most appealing is the availability of wide green spaces and the many outdoor activities that the area offers. Housing is comparably cheaper and you’re likely to find a spacious home with plenty of yard space, ideal for raising your family. Additionally, residents with children have a number of public and Catholic schools to choose from. Apart from high standards of safety and education, one of the things that makes Halton Hills a great place to raise kids are the myriad parks and outdoor recreational activities available, making sure your children have a balanced, well-rounded education.

      The Bruce Trail offers fine hiking trails and the many creeks and tributaries flowing through the rural communities make for great places to swim and spend summer days.
