Accessible, Lively, But Spacious Beach 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I needed a beach that wasn't jam packed and not a complete ghost town at the same time. Hallandale Beach delivered, and it's got just as much charm as Myrtle Beach up in South Carolina (outside of biker month, of course) with a lot more to enjoy!

Living in Hallandale Beach is a ...Read More much more relaxing way to unwind while still keeping a professional life in decent balance. I telecommute fairly often, and whenever I have the time I'm able to head out to the beach and grab a bite to eat without feeling rushed or crowded.

Grabbing a bite to eat can be one of the more negative points. There's a lot of restaurants with great variety to be sure, but some of the places can be expensive and without the taste to back it up.

The Cuban food scene is nice and I like the sushi scene, but some restaurants switch their prices up a bit too much. If you're looking for the best areas in Hallandale to eat, head near the waterfront past Pembroke Park and Highland Lakes. You can navigate away from 858 to avoid traffic, but just before where 858 hits S. Ocean Drive is where you need to look. Read Less
