Halfway, MD Needs To Be All The Way Improved! 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) After living in Halfway, Maryland for just over 3 years, I am sad to say I will be leaving the moment I have saved enough money to do so. I have never seen a community go downhill as quickly as Halfway has. What used to be considered one of the best areas in Maryland is now a sha ...Read More meful waste. The schools are failing their students miserably which can be seen in the high dropout rates and the ever-decreasing graduation rates. Businesses are moving away from Halfway at record speed. The crime rate is climbing every day. People are becoming ashamed to even admit that they live here. It's so sad to see this happen to what was once a beautiful, respectable place.

If you come through here, do yourself a favor and take advantage of some of the local attractions to kill some time. There's Devil's Backbone Park, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown Premium Outlets for shopping, and the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum. Be warned - even the attractions are somewhat depressing and disappointing. Read Less
