It is a safe and harmonious community that is geared towards the upper middle-class with the higher priced homes and prominent neighborhoods. Grosse Pointe woods boasts one of the best public school systems in ...Read More Michigan with a low student to teacher ratio that is the envy of Detroit Public Schools. The city is kept safe by a competent and fair police force that prides themselves on keeping the crime in the city from ever reaching this town.

Shopping, dining and nightlife options are great in Grosse Pointe Woods. There are many unique shops and boutiques along the downtown streets and there are plenty of bars available for those looking for a fun night out on the town. Grosse Pointe Woods really is a gem among the suburbs of Detroit and should be an example to the rest of Detroit's surrounding cities.

Overall, Grosse Pointe Woods is one of the best areas in Detroit to raise a family, and is a great option for anyone looking to settle down in a quaint and lively community without being too far from the city. Read Less
