Greencastle Indiana: An Astonishing Town 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I had an astonishing experience while living in Greencastle Indiana. The city is in Putnam County. Greencastle is close to Plainfield Indiana. The township is a leader in education. They have outstanding public and private schools. The city is known for the illustrious DePauw Uni ...Read More versity. Another astute institution includes the Ivy Tech Community College. Employment is available via the school system as well as through local businesses. The area has a decent economy, so living expenses are fairly low. There is low availability for homes in the area, and for the most part, it is a safe environment. The weather is nice for most of the year.

Some of the best areas in Greencastle Indiana surround Splash Park. The area is nicely done. It’s great for family and kids and has dining, shopping, and other amenities nearby. There are so many points of interest in the vicinity. The places that are noteworthy include Big Walnut Sports Park, The Game Warehouse, Jacee Park, Robe-Ann Park, and the Wasser Brewing Company. I enjoy that the astounding exhibits and farmers markets that the town hosts on a regular basis. Read Less
