Green Goes Gray 1.5 rating By GVAZ4now ( Jun 20, 2022) Moved to Green Valley at age 59. I am by far the youngest in my neighborhood, average age might be 80 here. If you play golf, you'll be happy here. I don't play golf.

Many recreation centers run by volunteers so if they don't like you because of your age or accent of any other ...Read More reason, they don't have to be nice or include you. They are volunteers, not qualified or certified, so seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

If you have strong political feelings and like to stand out on the street corner and assume everyone has the opposite political views giving you the right to bang on their car as they are waiting on the red light (LaCanada and Esperanza corners), if you want to defund the police even better because there are no police here, well this is the place for you! There are county sheriff staff that are kept busy with the many car accidents that seem to happen daily.

If you like rattle snakes, you'll get to have that encounter, I've seen two already. I didn't know anyone when I came here, and it is a very cliquish place.

I was naive, green, but now that I'm going gray, I don't want to stay. If this is my future I'd rather go away. Read Less

Sad to say, they all, when seeing you talk the talk, but when it comes to making any plans to do something together, everyone is busy.

I love the convinence of the shopping centers, and being close to the Casino's and Tucson, though, but miss my roots on the Outer Banks of NC, with the ocean. I do love the warmer climate, but do not like the close encounters (3) that I have had with rattlesnakes.

I do miss the laughter of children being around, they tend to make you feel younger. The average age, I would guess is 75 here. Actually thinking of relocating, if I can only find that Mayberry, LOL Read Less
