grown up and enlightened me upon the dark side of Greece. I've always had great luck with schools for my children for when they were young but ounce they went into Greece Athena middle school things have turned for the worst. Bulling is a major issue, but that monopoly of perverted teachers is what shocked me most. And might I also say the Greece police are absolutely crouppt and disrespectful. But nothing has really made me want to move more than the people!!! I have travel to most parts of the us and multiple out of country trips and I have never meet a meaner group of people. The people in greece, ny are complete snobs but there also ruthless clod hearted individuals with no respect for their fellow man. Everyone in Greece mostly has a frown on their face and are always ready to start a fight on the road ext. The women in Greece are just vile and complete b#tches. The teens in this town are all social awkward and strange...Its a very nice place on the outside but ounce your realize the class of people that live here you find out its devils Paradise.

Greece is the largest town in the Monroe County/Rochester metro area. It goes from the northern city border all the way to Lake Ontario, with neighborhoods running the gamut from working class to affluent to semi-rural. A comfortable place to raise a family, with the largest sc ...Read More
hool district in the county. Lake Ontario (which is more like an inland sea than a lake) provides beaches, boating and parks. Ontario Beach Park (locally referred to as Charlotte--with the emphasis on the last syllable...) is a lovely older park with an antique carousel, beach, boardwalk, community center and hosts lots of events and festivals, like movies outdoors in the summer, free concerts, etc. Housing is very affordable--you can easily find a nice 3 bedroom/2 bath home anywhere from 75,000 - $150,000 (and up if you want to get fancier). Plenty of rental options as well, from single family houses to upscale condos. Many distinctive neighborhoods within the town. Unity Parkridge Hospital is centrally located. Excellent library system. Commuting to downtown Rochester is an easy 15 minute drive from just about anywhere. Niagara Falls is about an hour and a half drive, Toronto about two and half hours. (NYC is about a six hour drive). This is upstate New York, so winters can be long and tiresome, but not unbearable. One drawback is no "village center" and a lot of suburban sprawl along West Ridge Road-huge mall and many, many shopping areas.
