Grayson, KY - Safe City, No Culture 0.5 rating By Theo ( Feb 13, 2011) Situated in good KY park location , three from which to choose, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, and Greenbo.
Hard working, bedroom community, no industry unless count Smithfield Ham Plant.
Dry city and county; no alcohol sales.
Decent roads, fair maintenance.
No mosques, no synagogue ...Read More s, predominantly WASP community.
Only non-WASP population found at KY Christian University.
Zero night life except church nights.
Dining experiences mainly fast food.
No major grocery chain here.
No hospital, nearest 25 miles away.
Dearth of plumbers, electricians, good auto mechanics.
Home construction very basic; don't try fancy here.
Computer support and repair minimal at best.
School system not getting the best reviews.
Great funeral homes.
Planning and zoning minimal when effective at all.
Local radio WGOH-WUGO community oriented.
Cable available.
Nearest cinema 15 miles, but a good one.
No railroad, bus, nor taxi. Huntington airport 35 miles East.
Large city police dept, low crime, few crimes ever solved.
Volunteer fire department, well equipped.
