I lived in Glenview for ...Read More five years during my twenties (very recent). Glenview has a unique feel as it is large enough to satisfy one's social pleasures while allowing a quiet lifestyle. I enjoyed my time in Glenview. It is a great place to live and work

To provide a more in depth look at the city, I've highlighted different areas of interest. Overall, there are few suburbs that compare in Illinois as well as in the midwest. Glenview does not feature many attractions within city limits. Downtown Chicago is only a short drive away but if you want to stay inside Glenview, choices are slim. Attractions aren't abundant, but there are a few hidden gems. The community in Glenview is welcoming and friendly. Community is the most appealing attribute to this city. Locally owned business is plentiful. Glenview features some outstanding restaurants for reasonable pricing. Wildfire is a must if visiting, locals frequent this tasty joint. There are many great restaurants and service is always friendly and welcoming. Great nightlife isn't noticeable, but it's there if you look hard enough. I was surprised at the amount of shopping Glenview. I figured there wouldn't be much because of all that is in driving range. Pricing and costs are relatively low as well.
