e crime rate is only slightly lower. Education could use some improvement, as I am near retirement that does not affect me directly. Good shopping is available in the area, as well as being very convenient.
I enjoy cycling and love the Neuse River Trail. On good weather days, I will bike up to 10 miles. We have family picnic outings at White Deer Park Nature Center, as the grandkids like the nature center. I also enjoy doing a little fishing at Lake Benson Park and occasionally do some boating. When I want a bite out, Angie's Restaurant features good home cooking at a reasonable price. I plan on retiring here.
