Garden City - A little Bit if Manhattan 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Garden City is a little bit of Manhattan right in the middle of Long Island. Only 35 minutes to Manhattan by train, but without a direct train line, Garden City is conveniently located for commuters and suburban life.

Garden City has great shopping and restaurants in the Roosev ...Read More elt Field mall and along Stewart Avenue, which is highlighted by the Belgium Bistro, Waterzooi. Further, many great dining options exist throughout the town. Roosevelt Field Mall is the largest mall on the Island and have many boutique brands that are only found in major cities like Manhattan. The same is true of some of the strip malls located on Jericho Turnpike.

Garden City is a safe place with a great culture and sense of community. It also has some of the best schools on the Island and is a wonderful spot to raise a family. While the homes in Garden City are pricier than many other communities, they are a wonderful place to have a family or to settle down. Read Less
