Corruption nepotism illegal 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 30, 2025) have never experienced such a terrible town. The amount of corruption located here in the town of franklinville is unbelievable. Board Members are almost exclusively family and friends that will run out and do illegal actions to any family that does not fit in their circle. If yo ...Read More u dont believe this review look at the latest lawsuit against the town of franklinville. It looks like a horror story of what happened to that family. Even worse is I believe the new town supervisor is related to all the folks that did the misconduct and actually used tax payer money to rehire these employees (family) and back pay them with our tax money, even though investigations proved the intentional misconduct. I believe that is against public officers law.
The area in general is broke down. Trailers and poverty seem to be everywhere and depending on who you are you will be targeted by the town while the rest of the town does as they please.

Heed our warning 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Feb 26, 2020) This town is horrible. Filled with. Nepotism, huge drug use, and welfare. Most of the locals live off the system and are horribly nasty and rude to outsiders. If you try to start a business out here they will use relatives that have positions in this podunk town and they to run ...Read More you out. Corruption has been in this town for years and the good residents are afraid to do anything. Very trashy. There are no jobs at all also. Delabatated buildings everywhere, trailers are the most common house and if you do have a decent house they try to tax you to death to support the lazy. Also you get nothing for your taxes. Dirt roads that barely get plowed, no sewer or public water, no garbage pickup. The scenery of the mountains are gorgeous, the people of the community, not so much. This town is unfortunately content with staying a welfare town. If you want some where nice go 10 minutes away to ellicottville. Even this towns big event which its laughable to call it that is its maple fest. This fest consists of flea market type vendors and all the locals dust off their mullets and favorite velvet unicorn shirt and prance around with a pack of Seneca cigarettes and talk about the last nascar race. Just run from this area before it's too late. Read Less
