Franconia Virginia: A Military Friendly Area User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) I experienced a great lifestyle while living in Franconia Virginia. The city is located in Fairfax County Virginia. Franconia is close to Alexandria and just north of Fort Belvoir, a US Army facility. Franconia has a flourishing job market that welcomes a plentitude of occupations beyond military personnel. The weather here is always nice, winters are pretty mild and summers are gorgeous. You get all four seasons here. The township and its infrastructure are safe and secure.

Some of the best areas in Franconia Virginia surround the Springfield Mall. There are upscale shops and dining in the area, along with other high-end amenities. The cost of living is rather high for the tri-state area. However, the communities are very united. Military personnel and retirees make up a great percentage of neighborhoods. The town gives you a great sense of patriotic pride, it is very nice for families or individuals. Read Less
