Why Fountain Hills Az. is Great Place to Live- If you can Afford it. 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) When I lived in Fountain Hills Az, I was living with my Sister who had a high-paying executive job with a hospital. Fountain Hills is a beautiful place to live and I loved every minute it. Now keep in mind that "The Hills," as many of us called the city of Fountain Hills, borders ...Read More on the city of Scottsdale which is another affluent city of the greater Phoneix metropolitan area much like The Hills. The Phoenix metropolitan area consists of several smaller cities that all run into each other to make up one large area so in a way, it's all one big city.

Fountain Hills, Az. is hot just like Phoenix Az. and its surrounding cities, but there is a lot to do with the city of Fountain Hills and the surrounding area. The city has an excellent public transportation system and there are a lot of jobs from professional to jobs that require little or no formal education. One main point to remember is that rents and housing are expensive. The average household in Fountain Hills earns over $75,000 per year and I discovered quickly that unless you have a good paying job, paying rent or buying a house on a single income is next to impossible. Fountain Hills is not very diverse in ethnic makeup. It's mostly Caucasian, so you may find a little racial bias from some people who aren't used to being around other ethnicities. Read Less
