Snobbish, Rich, Bedroom Community of Charlotte 1.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 11, 2020) I like everyone else moved to Charlotte because of the booming economy, warm weather and great cost of living. However, because I was raised to treat people how I want to be treated, I have always been very friendly to people. Fort Mill is not the South. Im a northerner and was pleased when I moved down to Charlotte because of the southern hospitallity. Fort Mill is full of rich stuck up people that have moved to South Carolina because they can save money on their taxes. New york, Chicago, Boston, and "New Money" all live here. They act like their s#$@ does not stink and expect you to kiss the ground that they walk on. Home prices have risen. Cost of living in the area has as well. Still cheaper than the north, however there are bettrr options available. Rock Hill on the other hand is amazing! If you work for a living (like most of us) I recommend Rock Hill any day of the week. Cheap. Down to Earth people with the Southern Hospitallity that I was craving from the South!!! Read Less

Great town but one apartment complex not to be trusted 3 rating By worried ( May 28, 2015) I have lived in Fort Mill, SC for 5 years. I recently moved to The Greens Luxury apartments. Within the first month there my on-site storage unit was broken into and valuable possessions were stolen. According to the police it appears to be an "inside job". Kuester management com ...Read More pany refuses any responsibility and help in the situation. They did have a dead bolt lock put on the door after the fact. Too late! The management company is rude and extremely unhelpful. Very disappointing for a high end apartment. I will NOT be renewing my lease. I don't feel safe there. I would NEVER rent from any apartment managed by Kuester!
It is very unfortunate because Fort Mill is quite charming. Also, there are few restaurants that are not chain type eateries. Especially ones that serve vegetarian dishes. Read Less
