Fort Drum: The Place I Call Home 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I have lived in Fort Drum for almost 3 years and would not want to live anywhere else! My dad is in the army so we have been stationed at Fort Drum for the past 3 years. My dad often says this is his favorite place he has been stationed. The coolest part about living in Fort Drum is that it is really close to the Canadian border so my family and I often venture out to Canada for the weekend. The best areas in Fort Drum are the Thousand Islands. The islands are so beautiful and look like they came straight out of a painting. There are many old mansions on the islands and fun outdoor activities to do. Boldt Castle is my favorite place to see on the Islands. The castle looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale!

I definitely recommend living in Fort Drum. There is so much to do and see in the area that you will never feel bored. Also, since it is so close to Canada, it allows for even more to see and do. There is definitely a lot of room for adventure in the area. Fort Drum will always have a special place in my heart! Read Less
