Forest Park is a beautiful and charming little city that is a quick drive away from the more bustling, busy city of Chicago. Living in Forest Park has been a great experience for me, and now that I've been here half a decade, I can't imagine living anywhere else. We have great shopping and even better food. The best areas to get a taste for our cuisine are Gaetano's, a quaint little Italian restaurant I love, and the Scratch Kitchen and Lounge if you're looking for unique and tasty spins on your typical comfort foods.

We have a lot of cool history here, including an amusement park which burnt down in a huge fire in the early 1920's, and a theater that was open for a long stretch of time. Every summer we host a slow-pitch, glove free softball tournament that is the talk of the town for weeks. It really is fun living here, and if I ever get bored, there's always Chicago a short drive away.
