Relaxation At Its Best 4 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 22, 2015) Fond du Lac, WI is one of those areas that doesn't offer much in the way of things to do, but there is a serenity offered as well. You can sit on your front porch and listen to the crickets or greet other people as they are walking along the sidewalk. I moved to this area only ab ...Read More out a year ago, but I have already grown to love the people I have met and the things that are available to do in the town.

One of my favorite places to visit, especially in the evening,, is Lakeside Park. There is a train that you can ride and several walking trails. You can also see a beautiful view of the lighthouse as it sits along the shore. If you go at sunset, you can take some beautiful pictures of the sun as a back drop with the lighthouse in the foreground. Whispering Springs Golf Club is one of the spectacular clubs you need to visit if you like to play golf or if you're holding a special event. The course is large, and the clubhouse features several rooms for events like weddings, reunions or birthday parties. It is a little expensive, but it's worth the money.

My favorite time of the year is Christmas, so I was overjoyed to find Kristmas Kringle. This is a home that has been turned into a Christmas wonderland. It's open all year and features decorations, ornaments, foods and more. You can walk into the store and be transported to the Christmas season in a matter of minutes as carols are played and the smell of apple cider and peppermint waft through the air.
