ere is no shortage of activities to participate in here. Some of the best areas in Fitchburg cater to the outdoor crowd. Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, for example, is just 7 miles away. Flat Rock Wildlife Sanctuary offers trail hiking in a lovely old growth forest, and Coggshell Park is a great place to go for a quiet date or family picnic.
For those who need their dose of culture, there is no shortage of ways to pass the time. I love to visit the Fitchburg Art Museum and end the afternoon with a frosty beverage. The popular River Stix Brewing on Boulder Drive is just a stone's throw away from that lovingly preserved boulder that graces this delightful small city.
