Small town, low crime, good schools, nearby bigger cities. 3.5 rating By mmadams2 ( Feb 10, 2013) I grew up in Fisher- lived there from birth to 18 years old. Although I didn't like it growing up because everyone knew everyone else's business (you get that with most small towns) I would say it is a great place to raise a family. There is extremely low crime, good schools, goo ...Read More d people. There is not much to do in Fisher and the grocery store is expensive but it is only about 30 minutes from bigger towns that have a better selection of restaurants, stores, and entertainment. It is centrally located between Champaign, Rantoul, Mahomet, and Gibson City. You will probably be commuting at least 30 minutes to work. Read Less
