I moved to Farmingville from CT in 2015 for my husbands work. I live near the Amphitheater. Farmingville does not have many attractions (Hardly ever see any events at the Theater). There are things to do in nearby towns, which are mentioned in a previous review, but they are ...Read More
not located in Farmingville . I can't comment on the nightlife. I'm in my 60's and not into the nightlife. When I first moved here I found the people to be cordial and the area very quiet and peaceful. Things have drastically changed over the past 2 years and I can understand why. First there was a Murder about 2 miles from me (rumor is that it was drug related). Now last week there was a murder of 3 people in a home less then a mile from me (again rumor is that the people were selling drugs and guns from their home). I'm just happy my kids are grown and live in a safer area. As for dining there are some nice places, but again in surrounding towns. As for shopping - Markets are adequate, but expensive. Stores such as Target and the Mall stores are in near by towns. If I still had young children I would not live in this town. One more year until my husband retires and we are out of here.

I've lived in Farmingville, New York for a quarter century now and I can't imagine calling any place else in the world home. This town is rich in community, family friendly and down to earth.

ith mini-golf, go karts and arcade games. We also have places to go hiking and a great cultural park too!
The employment rate is very steady and job growth in the surrounding area is continuous. If you are looking to relocate and need a steady income Farmingville has plenty of opportunities for you to do just that!
Shopping consists of specialty boutiques for furniture, clothing and just about anything else that you can possibly think of. In the summer time there's a great farmer's market with fresh produce available for purchase straight from the farm!
Dining options in this town mostly consist of classic American fare, but there is an opportunity for great pizza here too!
