Essex Is In The Middle Of All The Fun 4 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 26, 2018) Though I never lived in Essex, I went to school there. It is a great neighborhood that is pleasant to look at, has some of the nicest people in the state, and is only a few minutes drive from White Marsh Mall and The Avenue at White Marsh. It is an affordable neighborhood to live ...Read More in, and the home of a sprawling community college that helped prepare me to earn a four year degree.

One of the highlights of the neighborhood is Rocky Point Beach. The beach is 300 feet long and is located right near a park. On a nice summer day it's a blast to have a picnic in the designated area and then go fishing on the pier or hit the sailing center. If you have kids, there is even two separate playgrounds in the park. Also close by is Marley's Marina, which has a place where you can grill food and go swimming in the outdoor pool, which is heated so that it can be used all year long. Read Less
