I moved here from Los Angeles, CA; Ennis is a lot slower paced than what I am used to and I like it. I have been here for five years, due to my company moving here. I was afraid at first, but I met wonderful people soon as I arrived. The community is very family oriented, so my children and I felt as if we belonged here. The school system is great, they have a top intermediate school here in Ennis.

The community comes together for different annual activities such as; the annual Polka Festival in May, the Autumn Daze Fall Festival, and the Christmas Parades. One of the great charms of the city of Ennis, TX is the Birdwell Lake and the Galaxy Drive-In. That's right there are still drive-ins around. Coming to live here in Ennis is like living in the past and the future at the same time. The city has great shopping, restaurants, and family fun. In addition to what Ennis has to offer, Dallas is just 25 minutes away.

My family and I really love living here in Ennis, TX. We have the best of times here by enjoying historical landmarks, how the community gets together, and the many parks and recreational centers throughout the city. If you love history, love nature, and love Tex-Mex food then Ennis is the place for you, just like it is for me and my family. I enjoy soaking up the culture and learning at the same time. Read Less
