Edwardsville, IL a Beautiful Place with a Rich History 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Living in Edwardsville, IL is a beautiful place. We have many parks. We have an industrial town that was merged with us, making our city even larger than it originally was.

Edwardsville is named after the first governor of Illinois. Abraham Lincoln found his way to Edwardsville ...Read More during his days an attorney. We are proud of our historic roots. We are the county seat of Madison County, Illinois.

Edwardsville, IL is one of the oldest cities in the state of Illinois. We were founded as a town before the territory became a state. There is so much to do in Edwardsville. We have two high schools and many other schools that serve our children.

Edwardsville, IL has a diverse population. Many of the residents who call Edwardsville home love to interact with each other. There is a large population for Edwardsville. We have built our city on trust and loyalty. Many who live here have called it home for a lifetime. Read Less
