East Peoria: A Surprisingly Busy Little City 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) East Peoria is a fun little city with more to offer than you might realize at first glance. It's just across the lake from Peoria and between the two, there are quite a few opportunities for finding a good job. You will also find a good number of stores and restaurants in the are ...Read More a as well. If you enjoy gambling, you can try out the local casino too, Par-A-Dice Casino.

What I like about living in Peoria is that the houses are affordable and a lot of residents here take pride in keeping their homes looking presentable. Veterans Park is one of the best areas in East Peoria and is a great place to walk your dog or have a picnic with your partner.

The summers here are comfortable without getting too hot. Between the lake and the public parks, there are a usually a lot of summer events such as festivals and parades. You might even catch some local musicians at the park. Read Less
