After living in East Moline, IL for the past 6 years I have decided it's time to look for greener pastures. Even the best areas in East Moline have gone downhill fast. There is a rise in crime of just about every kind. Jobs have become very scarce unless you are content working in the fast food industry. The high school dropout rate is through the roof. Even the newer-built homes here look old and dilapidated, like they've been here for decades.

As for any kind of entertainment or fun activities, there's not much either in East Moline or nearby. There's the Niabi Zoo, small by comparison to most zoos and not really very well-kept. There's also Splash Landing Aquatic water park, also not very big or impressive, just something to get you out of the house when the weather is nice enough. On that note, the weather here isn't too great either. Tornado season can get pretty scary, and even in the summer the sunny weather feels pretty dreary. I wouldn't recommend living here.
