East Greenville is a very small, quiet county town, where people are still nice to one another, yes it does exist!. Nestled about 20 minutes from Quakertown, main street in East Greenville is about as "happening " as it gets but that's ok there's plenty homey, quaint, cuteness ...Read More
here. You'll find an old fashioned movie theater, small coffee shop, tattoo shop, little general stores and everything in between. It just oozes charm in this tiny town and I loved it the first time I ever visited. There is only one gas station in town and 2 grocery stores along with a giant Walmart, otherwise your driving to Quakertown for it. Don't be surprised if you get stuck behind a tractor on one of the side streets, it's a frequent occurrence. The area has no crime, it's as safe As a community can be where kids can safely walk down the street alone and people look out for others. There is no diversity, the town and 2 connecting towns consist of 100% caucasian residents that only speak English. The community is split into 30 something married couples and married couples over 50, in my opinion anyway. The area is clean and cared for, you can tell we all love our town. There's a few small parks that offer everything you need from running paths to playgrounds. There's fantastic restaurants and mom and pop shops, like it should be.
Just a great town, houses are cheap, taxes are on the rise thanks to a new 80 million dollar school (yes it was really 80 million) so taxes are skyrocketing over the next 5 years this is the only negative. They aren't bad yet but they will be so keep that in mind when you find your really cheap house. Although we have some of the best schools, it's certainly a hefty price to pay. Still, I love this town where people still say hello to one another and if you talk to a stranger they don't think you're gonna mug them in the parking lot lol it's a friendly, country town where nothing ever happens. No nightlife, a few bars but other then a few local bands not much going on here. Safe, friendly, quaint and beautiful.
