I've been living in Dyersburg for 3 years now, and that's long enough to let me know that I will be moving on before too long. There are practically no jobs to be had, none that pay a living wage - or even a surviving wage - that is. The only places available to rent or own are old, beat down, shabby places that are in need of some serious makeovers and repairs. The crime level here is getting worse day by day, and no one who could do anything about it seems to care. Just about the only thing this place has going for it is the nice weather and some fairly decent schools.
If you're looking for something entertaining and fun to do, the best areas in Dyersburg are the Tennessee Safari Park (technically in Alamo), the Dyersburg Mall, Discovery Park of America which is an educational museum with some pretty cool interactive exhibits, and Tapp'd beer and cocktail bar.
