A City With Recreation 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) What a wonderful place to live I will never leave. Dunmore sits within Lackawanna County. There is plenty of activities fun to share with the kids. It is conveniently two and a half hours from Philadelphia and three hours from New York.

The median income is around $49,500 with ...Read More the home value around $159,000. Scenarios like this proves the cost of living affordable at this rate. The area is perfect for families there are nearby public private and religious school districts. Attractions and amenities are endless, we have a recreational center located north and on the opposite side of town there's a water theme park. Furthermore, the Poconos resorts is less than an hour away.

The weather here is very comfortable in the summers with occasional showers and mild thunderstorms from time to time. The fall is always suitable as it is not too hot or too cold always in between. The winters snowfall on the other hand, can accumulate up to 52 inches during bad snowstorms. Read Less
